Payroll Manager – Atlanta, GA


The ARAUCO North America Payroll Manager will oversee and supervise all the North American organization’s payroll functions while ensuring all payrolls are processed on-time, accurately, and in compliance with federal, state, and local laws/regulations.  This enterprise-level manager will also lead initiatives related to standardization across the North American organization, by assisting with internal audit action plans and developing/maintaining sustainable processes in the HR Payroll unit, while also fostering the development of a strong technology-focused team of payroll administrators across the United States and Canada.



  • This position will be responsible for leading a team, which will require core leadership disciplines (i.e. performance management, employee development, succession planning, etc.).
  • Implements, maintains and reviews payroll system processes and enhancements.
  • Ensures the timely and accurate processing of common payroll reporting and reconciliation requirements, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Ensures the timely and accurate processing of common payroll transactions (where applicable), including new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, and other items as needed.
  • Maintains accurate historical records of payroll transactions and reporting.
  • Ensures compliance with federal/state/local payroll, wage, and hour labor laws and best practices.
  • Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to the corporate internal audit team.
  • Identifies gaps and recommends enhancements to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Manage Time and Attendance for North America at the Enterprise level.
