Inside Sales Representative –  Atlanta, GA

 

SUMMARY

The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for support for the Regional Sales Managers and Outside Sales Representatives out in the field.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • First point of contact for Customers
  • Manage assigned accounts
  • Track customer orders
  • Provide excellent sales & customer service
  • Upsell products
  • Provide support to Regional Sales Manager(s), backing up outside activities during absences.
  • Manage price pages, quote as delegated by Regional Sales Manager(s).
  • Process/proof and follow up on customer purchase orders.
  • Respond to customer inquiries promptly (give customers rail/shipping numbers for tracking, finds orders in SAP, communicating the status of shipments)
  • Understand and use QlikView specific to assigned accounts, analyzing sales history and trends.
  • Proactively upsell when speaking w/ customers to generate new sales within the existing customer base.
  • Acknowledge/reply to voice mail, fax & email messages within prescribed timelines.
  • Manage customer complaints within SharePoint.
  • Manage Variances, clearing Invoice Adjustments within 30 days of reporting.
  • Monitor and manage Customer Pick-ups within prescribed parameters.
  • Maintain accurate Customer files.
  • Provide coverage within the Sales Team during absences and as required.
  • Participate in Sales & Operational meetings.
  • Work and travel (very little) safely.

 

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Computer literacy/knowledge including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and coordinate workflow.
  • Precise and detail-oriented.
  • Self-motivated and flexible.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change.
  • Ability to work as a team and assist other team members.
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Ability to upsell or negotiate
  • Honesty and dependability

 

PLUS, BUT NOT REQUIRED:

  • 4-year college degree preferred
  • Knowledge in SAP preferred
