Logistics Planner – Atlanta, GA

 

 

SUMMARY

The Logistics Planner will be responsible for preparing and managing the imports division’s outbound shipment plan. Its main duties include reviewing orders/shipments and coordinating the plan’s execution with Sales, Transportation, and Operations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generate daily shipping plans taking into consideration customer and internal constraints.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments
  • Respond to customer inquiries and refer clients to the proper channels
  • Review orders and shipments to ensure accuracy
  • Make special shipping arrangements as necessary
  • Monitor shipments and coordinate changes to the plans if necessary
  • Generate analysis and reports

 

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Effective communication, including writing, speaking and interpersonal communication
  • Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent customer service and client relations skills
  • Keep organization and time management skills
  • Good collaboration and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced data analysis and data visualization
  • Ability to use computers, software, and other technology for inventory and communication purposes
  • Understanding of the supply chain, including common obstacles and effective solutions
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and flexible.

 

PLUS, BUT NOT REQUIRED:

  • 4-year college degree preferred
  • Relevant experience in SAP and TMS preferred.
