Port Operations Coordinator – Atlanta, GA

 

SUMMARY

We are seeking a motivated and talented professional to manage our import operations for remote locations throughout ARAUCO North America. This individual will manage the order fulfillment process and order prioritization of all ports and export operations from our domestic mills to markets abroad, assuring an optimal service level for our customers. Major responsibilities in this position will involve processing incoming invoices from our 3PL’s while making sure we are using correct rates for the services provided to ensure inventory accuracy through reconciliations and inventory counts. This role will be responsible for reporting all necessary functions of the Supply Chain to Management.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and process incoming invoices from our 3PL’s; monitor payments.
  • Conduct inventory reconciles. Generate claims or adjust inventory accordingly.
  • Coordinate with warehouse to ensure inventory turnover (FIFO).
  • Track incoming shipments and communicate with our warehouses to ensure timely stripping of containers.
  • Transfer inventory in SAP to reflect arrivals and shipments.
  • Coordinate warehouse projects (Repackaging, relabeling, etc).
  • Plan and conduct inventory count.
  • Provide reporting for logistics processes, including costs and performance measures.
  • Assist the organization in order fulfillment.
  • Other duties assigned by the company.
  • Conduct on-site inventory counts as assigned by management.
  • Assist assigned facilities in order fulfillment

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge/Skill/ ability
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Computer literacy/knowledge including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Collecting and researching data
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and coordinate workflow.
  • Precise and detail-oriented.
  • Self-motivated and flexible.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change.
  • Ability to work as a team and assist other team members.

 

PLUS, BUT NOT REQUIRED

  • 4-year college degree preferred
  • Exceptional knowledge of MS Excel software is preferred.
  • Experience in SAP, MS Access and Qlikview preferred.
