Title – Lamination Package Line Technician



The Lamination Package Line Technician is responsible for safely and productively staging/loading TFL in-feed conveyors and package finished units to meet the specific standards of the customer. This position requires continuous operation of a forklift.



  • Complete product changes through efficient and effective operation at the bander and in-feed positions.
  • This requires placing runners in the runner dispenser- Average 8 lbs. Requires constant bending, twisting and lifting throughout the shift. In-feed preparing units for consumption removing banding, tickets, corner protectors, runners and restacking runners for reuse.
  • There are times when employee may have to remove entire boards from stack with assistance from another team member.  Average weight is 40lbs.
  • Complete paperwork and computer entries for ticket data and pass down information. This includes accurately documenting downtime with a detailed description of the issues.
  • Communicate with Supervisor, Lead Tech, Press Operator, Lay-up Operator and Lift Driver regarding production.
  • Closely monitor product for quality concerns and communicate issues with appropriate team members for effective resolution. Complete LIMS quality checks in AMS.
  • Actively participate in any problem-solving meeting and contribute to improving the process.
  • Set-up and operate bander computer and ticket printer while constantly monitoring equipment and process. In-feed staging units, following picklist, consuming tickets to order and printing take back tickets.
  • Operate forklift- requires constantly getting on and off the forklift throughout the entire shift.  Demands exceptional hand and eye coordination.  Moving units and lifting is a lot more intense when operating forklift.  Employee will be expected to lift heavier boards (1-2 at a time with assistance) and more often.  Must be able to focus.  Warehouse is congested and not climate controlled.
  • Communicate with the incoming shift concerning bander issues, quality issues, production order running, AMS consumption, detail, reconcile and any other information. 
  • Responsible for completing rolling stock operator safety checklist sheets at start of each shift.
  • Maintain banding equipment and work with maintenance team members to keep equipment in good working order and resolve any issues.
  • Communicate effectively through the utilization of electronic mail. This includes checking and responding to emails during each shift as required.
  • Assist in the development of and follow SOP’s and JHA’s.
  • Report all safety incidents (including near misses)


•             Prior forklift experience (minimum of 12 months)  

•             Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook preferred

•             Prior manufacturing experience (minimum of 12 months)

•             Ability to be lock-out certified for the area

•             Ensure control room/area remains neat and clean

•             Be aware of all personnel working in the area

•             Ensure exercises responsible environmental stewardship in all areas of our business.  

•             Actively participate and positively contribute to the safety program

•             Report all safety incidents (including near misses)


•             Ability to lift 50 lbs required

•             Wear proper PPE at all times as required (hearing protection, safety boots, glasses and bump cap) 

•             Perform housekeeping regularly and during downtime

•             Extensive walking throughout the Mill daily.   Bending, standing all day (12 hour shift)

•             Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment

•             Climbing onto a forklift, walking up/down stairs – daily
