Production  – Eugene, OR



Safely and efficiently respond to all production and quality issues while maintaining quality to ensure customer satisfaction.



  • Respond to upset conditions on the lines and work closely with operators and maintenance to resolve problems.
  • Identify quality and production issues and react accordingly to them.
  • Work with the QC, press operator, lift driver, and sander operators to address any quality issues on the lines or presses.
  • If a quality issue is suspected, isolate questionable product and notify QC technician and supervisor.
  • Assist in the development of and follow SOP’s and JHA’s.
  • Assist other areas as needed during upset conditions
  • Ensure loader is blown down daily and nose rolls, tail rolls, and trays are cleaned on a regular schedule or anytime a quality issue is identified.
  • Create maintenance requests for equipment problems in a timely manner and follow-up as needed to ensure work is completed.
  • Follow the guidelines in the Daily Cleanup Worksheet daily.
  • Clean Fiber Bin once per shift.
  • Actively participate in any problem-solving meeting and positively contribute to improving the process on a daily basis.
  • Use pass down reporting to notify operations and peers about changes made during the shift.
  • Provide coverage for Press Operators. 
  • Work on the training plan to become a “capable” Saw Operator. Capable is defined as the ability to handle routine daily operational tasks. 
  • Expected to work towards a “competent” operating level.  This is an elevated level of competency whereby the operator has a more intimate understanding of the equipment to troubleshoot and problem-solve more complex issues.
  • While relieving the Saw Operator the Line Support will be responsible for all operator duties including:
  • Properly completing paperwork and computer entries.
  • Properly completing product changes and productively operating the saw.
  • Communication with AC, line operators, and QI about product changes and line activities.
  • Remaining alert at all times and constantly monitoring equipment and process.
  • Ownership of your area includes communicating issues and following up on the resolution. 
  • Ability to perform Operator Check sheet rounds.
  • When relieving the Saw Operator, the Line Support should follow the Operator Roles and Expectations
  • Wear proper PPE at all times as required
  • Be lock-out certified for the area
  • Be aware of all personnel working in the area
  • Ensure Arauco exercises responsible for environmental stewardship in all areas of our business.
  • Complete LASER for any upset condition or procedure
  • Perform housekeeping regularly and during downtime
  • Actively participate and positively contribute to the safety program
  • Report all safety incidents (including near misses)



  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required
  • Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook preferred
