Maintenance Planner – Malvern, AR

 

SUMMARY

Optimize equipment reliability by utilizing electronic systems and communication to maintenance and operational leaders on tasks planned.   Owns the administration of CMMS system, vibration and lubrication programs.  Collects data from operational and maintenance routes and identifies potential issues.   Provides effective planning and scheduling of maintenance related work, down day activities, and major shutdowns.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coaches personnel to provide information related to CMMS system. (Work request info, actual hours, job plan details, etc)
  • Maintains appropriate timelines and protocol with personnel to organize and schedule down days and shutdowns.
  • Responsible for tying in Operations, Maintenance, Capital, and other mill areas to CMMS system, including the generation of appropriate reports for mill personnel and areas.
  • Works with appropriate Area Coordinator to develop detailed job plans as necessary.  Area Coordinator(s) own the responsibility for development of PM’s and Planner is a resource to help support overall development.
  • Maintains the PM database on behalf of appropriate Area Owner(s)
  • Works with Area Owner to optimize PM database.  Reviews history and feedback to assess whether PM frequency can be reduced or adjusted.
  • Works with Area Owner to plan work orders in preparation for scheduling.
  • Identifies parts required and works with Purchasing to order parts ass required.
  • Develops job plans and identifies required resources
  • Tracks status of work orders for Area Owner(s).
  • Runs multiple reports for Area Owners
  • provides PM, Lubrication route(s) & other Work Orders to the Area Owner.  The Area Owner schedules the work on daily basis.
  • Scheduling Down Days / Shutdowns
  • Schedules resources against planned work and PM’s by priority.
  • Provides timelines for work activities
  • Provides direction to contractors and staff.
  • Manages the timeline for area.
  • Key participant with Area Owner(s) for planning meetings
  • Works with Stores to issue rebuilds to outside services as necessary.
  • Liaison for Contractors to support the planning process for identified contractor jobs.
  • May provide direction to contractors for some activities
  • Provides reporting information for maintenance key metrics
  • Maintains files and manuals associated with CMMS and equipment
  • Actively participates in operating and maintaining initiatives.
    • Provides estimates and costs for planned work. 
    • Administers and tracks costs for activities scheduled.
    • Works to minimize contractor costs

 

REQUIREMENTS

    • SAP is strongly preferred
    • Excellent written and verbal communication
    • Strong administrative skills to utilize CMMS system, typing, and Microsoft Word & Excel
    • Knowledge of Mechanical Equipment 
    • Have a good understanding or our safety policies and job safe practices.
    • Must be able to Multitask. Attention to detail and organization is key
    • Effective at time management and recognize bottlenecks
    • Must have focus on continuous improvement
    • Planning and Scheduling skills and knowledge is a definite asset.
    • Needs to be able to do research on parts (ex: look at the schematic of a gearbox to see what bushing it uses)
