  • Customers’ first point of contact for Inside Sales
  • Ensures superior, professional & prompt customer service is achieved for all accounts.
  • Supports Regional Sales Managers in the execution of their duties.




Description of Essential duties:

  • Takes daily direction from the Inside Sales Reps and Regional Sales Managers on the following duties:
    • Reviews, prepares and enters customer orders and manages open orders, late orders and back orders.
    • Provide support to the Inside Sales Reps and the Regional Sales Managers for order inquiries, order management and processing.
    • Manage and utilize price lists.
    • Utilizes the full functionality of the SAP operating system to execute duties.
    • Process/proof and follow up on customer purchase orders.  Ensures there is clarity on new customer order requests.
    • Direct product quality inquiries to the appropriate Mill Technical Director and Regional Sales Manager for investigation.
    • Respond to customer inquiries promptly.
    • Acknowledge/reply to voice mail, fax & email messages in a timely manner.  Inquires do not go unanswered.
    • Prepares reports as directed.
    • Enters customer complaints in Share Point database.
    • Clear Invoice Adjustments within 30 days of reporting.
    • Monitor and manage Customer Pick-ups within prescribed parameters.
    • Maintain accurate Customer files.
    • Provide support for other Inside Sales Representatives during periods of vacation or general absence.
    • Works in conjunction with production scheduling and shipping staff to ensure timely and accurate order deliveries.
    • General administrative duties.
    • In time, the individual will be required to be the first point of contact for specific customer accounts.
    • Visit key accounts and attend industry trade shows as directed.

Key Safety/Housekeeping Reponsibilities:

  • Participates in Sales, Operational and Annual Plan meetings as required.
  • Participates in Trade Shows.
  • Uses all expected PPE when entering the mill environment.
  • Will participate in Safety audits and maintain a safe working area.
  • Safety will always be a consideration when planning any events or completing tasks.


Required knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • 3 years Customer Service experience is an asset
  • Speaks fluently in both French and English
  • High School diploma required. College degree preferred.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • SAP systems experience is an asset.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and personnel development skills.
  • Industry knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to multi task and utilize time for the benefit of the team and organization.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Self-motivated and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment is a must.
